Alicia Silverstone doesn't look so Jewish - her parents met when her Scottish mom was working as a Pan Am flight attendant - but yes, she's a member of the tribe. A few years after her bat mitzvah at Redwood City, California's Temple Beth Jacob, Silverstone's career took off when she starred in a trilogy of mid-90s Aerosmith music videos - "Cryin'," "Amazing" and "Crazy" - in which she frolicked in a Catholic school girl's outfit, flirted with farm boys and loitered in tattoo parlors. It was naughty, and it was hot. Her turn as the JAPpy Cher Horowitz in 1995's Cluelessbrought sensitivity to the mallrat set, and she sure looked fetching in the Batgirl suit in Batman & Robin. She might have looked even better when she took it off for PETA's 2004 "Sexiest Female Vegetarian" campaign.
