Harsha is very chirpy to talk to. Recently, when we caught up with her she was very excited about the fact that she doesn't have blue eyes, unlike Neelanjana!
Q: 'Neelanjanaa' seems to have very different storyline as compared to other serials. What is your take on this?
A: Yeah, the serial has a very different storyline. The serial is about a small town girl who due to various circumstances goes to the city where she finds her love interest.
Q: Tell us about your role as Neelanjanna?
A: Like I said the role is of a small town girl who is very innocent and simple.
Q: In this serial you are working with senior actors such as Akshay Anand and Mrinal Kulkarni. Were you afraid of working with them initially?
A: Of course, on the first day I was very nervous. I have always been watching their programs. So I was very scared initially. But both of them are very nice to me. In fact, Mrinal ji teaches me the technical aspects of the camera.
Q: Were you always interested in acting?
A: Actually I always wanted to make it big in life. So when I passed my 12th standard, I had my first portfolio made. Even my parents supported me in my decision.
Q: You think this serial will be able to attract viewers when they have already devoted themselves to saas- bahu sagas?
A: I think so, because the kind of reviews I am getting is very positive. People are liking my work and the serial because of its different concept.
Q: This is just the start of your career as a television actress. What made you go for this role?
A: When I heard the script I realized that this would be the best start for my career. Also the different storyline made me do this serial.
Q: How was your first day of shoot?
A: My first scene was supposed to be with Akshay ji, so I was very nervous. But when he met me, he was very nice to me. My director is also really co-operative. Initially, I was not loaded with much work so that I could get a chance to learn.
Q: What are your future prospects?
A: As of now I want to concentrate on Neelanjana. This is just the start, so I really want to take it slow. -Saksshi Tiwari
