You have heard of Isabel Kaif right? Bollywood heartrobber Katrina Kaif’s sister. Ugh, are you ready of Katrina Kaif part two? Yep, me neither. Nevertheless, the starlet is gearing up to launch her younger sister, and doppelganger, Isabel, in a film – wait for it – produced by, and co-starring, queen Kat herself.

Sources are claiming that the actress is looking into buying the rights of a foreign film to be Isabel’s launch vehicle, and is eager to star in the film herself to ensure a hit debut for her sister. Katrina, despite her lack of Hindi skills and questionable acting talents, is a commercially viable Bollywood heroine, and ensures ample profits for her filmmakers. Her inclusion in the project, though may detract from her sister’s performance, is sure to boost Isabel’s box office clout.

Katrina confirmed the news exclusively to the Mumbai Mirror, stating that her sister has completed her acting education and will make her debut soon. She also believes Isabel is well suited to entering the film industry, with more knowledge than she had when she entered. Indeed, Katrina is often praised for entering an industry without any prior knowledge or grasp of the language, and climbing her way to a formidable position in Bollywood. But she’s making sure Isabel doesn’t face any of the challenges by making her study Hindi films and conversing with her only in Hindi.

Ah, what irony – the blind leading the blind! It blows my mind that Katrina, who can barely speak the language herself despite several years of ‘training’, is giving lessons to her sister. Sure, the girl has wormed her way into the hearts of Indian audiences, and guarantees a phenomenal opening for her films, but she has yet to prove her prowess as an actress. Don’t get me wrong, I think Katrina has great potential and shows moments of brilliance in films like Raajneeti, and I hope that she works on her talent. But at this point in time, it’s probably best for Isabel to consult her only if she wants to make a splash as an item girl in her debut – not a credible actress.
