Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, Jul 27: A minor girl, who was allegedly abused sexually by several men, including political VIPs in Tamil Nadu, underwent medical examination at the Government Hospital, here today.
On instructions from the Ramanathapuram District Sessions Court, the 17-year-old girl, who was sexually exploited for the past two years in many cities in the State, was admitted to the hospital where she was subjected to medical examination by the doctors.
Three special police teams have been formed by the police to probe the case.
The girl, hailing from Vagaikulam in Madurai District, was forced into prostitution by a woman who later sold her to a pimp.
The girl was taken to several cities, including Chennai, Madurai, Tiruchirapalli and Coimbatore for the flesh trade.
