Agile and pretty, Neetu Chandra biography

A sports player and Tawkendo expert, Neetu Chandra was born on 20th June 1984 in Patna, Bihar, India.
Neetu’s father, a businessman, was initially reluctant to let her pursue a career in showbiz. But her mother, Neera, stood by her. She was the more supportive of her parents when Neetu decided to start modeling and did some ads. She is 5’7″ tall.
Right from childhood Neetu has been an avid sportsperson. She is a black belt holder in Taekwondo. She has also represented India in two different games in Internaitonal Taekwondo Championship at Hong Kong in 1996 and in World Korfball Championship in 1995 at New delhi. She is a national games Silver Medal winner in Taek-won-do. In 2003, she received the Best Student Award for Sports and Academics which was given to her by the Prime Minister of India himself.
Neetu completed her schooling from Notre Dame Academy, Patna and graduated from IP College, Delhi.
After completing her basic education, she started her work with small print ad campaigns in Delhi. But her hard work and persevarance took her to the Hindi film Industry.
Before entering bollywood, she struggled for small print ad campaign in delhi. Finally, in 2005 she did her debut in Garam Masala in which she portrayed Sweety, an airhostess.
In 2006, she had a stronger role in the Telugu movie Godavari, directed by Sekhar Kammula.
In 2007 she appeared in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film, Traffic Signal. In preparation Chandra in order to enter her character spent a whole week living on the streets of Mumbai and living by a traffic light in order to enter her character. At the end her hard work paid off and even her acting was appreciated.
In 2008 her next movie was Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! with Abhay Deol and Paresh Rawal, which was received on a positive note by critics.
The movies lined up for 2009 are 13B, Mumbai Cutting, Kushar Parsaad Ka Bhoot and Zara Jee Ke Dikha. 13B is a horror movie, in which she plays R.Madhavan’s spouse. Zara Jee Ke Dikha will see her with Rahul Bose and Shefali Shah.
Neetu Chandra also danced gracefully in a video album Rasiya Saajan for music director Ismail Darbar along with Zubeen Garg. The video was directed by noted video director S Ramachandran.
On 20 March, 2008, a company named 7Seas Technologies announced that they will develop a 3D mobile game with Neetu Chandra playing the lead character. The game titled on her name Neetu (The Alien Killer), is based on a unique game story and revolves around the lead character killing different aliens.
Neetu was on the cover of Maxim India on the January 2009 issue of the magazine.
Neetu Chandra and model Krishikha Gupta indulged in some racy girl-on-girl action in a photoshoot for The Man magazine’s June 2009 issue at a 3-star hotel with model Krishikka Gupta, a group of regular male customers started shouting ‘Jai Maharashtra’ slogans and threatened action from Raj Thackeray’s Maharashrtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) started protesting the photo shoot, terming it as ‘promotion of lesbianism’.. They even tried to confiscate the camera, resulting in the shoot having to be abruptly called off.
In a recent interview with Delhi Times, she was quoted as saying “I’m ready to go nude for a James Cameron movie”
