CHENNAI: Actor-turned-director Prabhu Deva and his wife Latha appeared before a family court in connection with their divorce case on Saturday when their petition, seeking divorce by mutual consent, came up for hearing before additional family court judge Pandian.According to P Anandan, counsel for Latha, the judge recorded the evidence and posted the case to July 7 for judgment.Prabhu Deva and Latha had on December 28 filed a joint petition, setting out the terms of agreement to grant divorce by mutual consent by dissolving the marriage between them that had been solemnised on September 8, 1995 according to Hindu rituals.Latha also withdrew her earlier petitions, which, among other things, had sought to restrain her Prabhu Deva and actor Nayanthara from getting married to each other.As per the terms of agreement between the two, Prabhu Deva has agreed to part with two cars and property in Anna Nagar and Koyambedu in favour of Latha, besides Rs 10 lakh as permanent alimony.He has also agreed to settle a property in Injambakkam near Chennai and three properties in Andhra Pradesh in favour of his two children with Latha, besides bearing their medical and educational expenses till they complete their higher education. He was at liberty to access the two children whenever he pleased
